Description
The Voodoo empire raised from ashes, blood and corpses of hundreds with the alliance of 3 slave families against the tyranny of the bloodthirsty king Atreide who ruled one of the 4 kingdoms of South Blue, 604 years ago.
At the head of those families was Rayna Bones, Sharlon Lafayette and their leader Cassiop Yemendja. The king Atreide died by the hand of Rayna Bones herself, beheaded by his own royal sword, Nepentes.
Together, They freed every slaves and overthrowed the 4 Majestic Kings of South Blue.
Then followed the Voodoo Empire's golden age. For more than 400 years, the empire was a land of peace and prosperity. Free from their monarchies, the 10 family leaders formed 'the council', core of a parliamentary government which had authority over South Blue for several centuries. At that time, the Voodoo practices, that was the cultural identity that bounded the 10 families together, have almost been lost, leaving room to political ploys. Slowly, the hope of an idyllic land faded away and the empire became a nest of depravation and decay.
Inevitably, a war between the 10 families broke out. This bloody disaster is still recalled nowaday as 'The Great Voodoo War'. During this conflict, the family Malmehe-Naha, who tried to impose there wishes throught force and intimidation, disappeared into the recesses of memories. It is also during this war that the first 'True Voodoo Child' raised, under the name of Noah Alcibiad. His tremedous power completly redefined political rules.
From this day, the 'Child' became the undisputable leader of the Voodoo Empire. The other families had no choice but blindly serve him until he decided to choose a heir. Over generations, it quickly became tradition to name the next 'Child' from another family, to avoid greeds to stir up.
However, 67 years ago, Altair Lafayette broke the tradition, deciding to make his own daughter, Marie Eauvalle Lafayette, the next 'Child'. Many contested Marie's coronation, and in reponse, the 20 years old girl wiped out the entire Therezi family, killing every men, women and children, just to serve as an exemple. Once again, the rules had changed, and nobody would ever contest Lafayette's supremacy anymore.
